STM+: gift for older sibiling 'from' new baby?

i've heard its best to have a gift or two from the new baby to give to the older sibling when they come meet them in the hospital.  I got my DS one gift wrapped thomas the train character so far, but i'm wondering if i should get a few more small gifts.

anyone else doing this?
