Root canal today!! XP

So I just found out I have to have an emergency root canal TODAY!!!! I am flippin out to say the least. There is infection in the tooth which can travel through my body so they need to get it out ASAP. They assured me that they will double vest me while doing any needed xrays and it is safe to do the procedure while pregnant. Though it doesnt seem to calm my mind. At this point the pain is keeping me up at night, and i am in pain most of the day, which I am sure cant be good for my little seed. Anyone else had a root canal while preg? Should I be panicking?
