Which Graco Snugride?

I'm looking for a new Snugride (we loaned out DS's), and I see a wide variety in model names and prices. If you've done your research -- is one safer than the others? I see 22, 35, platinum, etc. I want one that fits in my old snap & go and is light & easy to carry around.

Also -- are there any far superior infant seats as far as safety? I am all set with a bunch of Britax for post-infancy, so really only looking for the rear-facing infant seat.
