I am curious what everyone else thinks of this.
Background: I have had no problem NIP up until this point. I usually just have found a quiet corner, tried not to draw attention to myself, maybe chosen a spot in a restaurant where my back was to everyone in the corner booth, etc. I haven't always used a cover b/c DS would always fling it off after about 6 months of age.
The Issue: Ok, so DS is now over a year old (barely). There have been a few times when we've been out when he has wanted to nurse. For example, at his doctor's appt the other day he was ATTACKING me to try to nurse. I finally did since we were at the doctor's and I figured, geez, she shouldn't care!
BUT, why am I starting to feel self conscious? I can't figure out why I feel this way? Do you think people have MORE of a problem with older babies NIP than younger ones? I don't know why I get the feeling they do.
Anyway. Just wondering if you think it is inappropriate to do so, if I still follow the same guidelines I have in the past of being discrete.
