Dd has bad latch-do we have to work on getting it right?

My dd has a bad latch. She just takes the tip of the nipple in.  She's done this from day 1.  In the beginning it was very painful and I tried working on it to correct it.  But now is not painful at all and she's growing like a weed so I know she's getting plenty f milk.  Is there any reason I can't just let her continue with the bad latch? Do I need to work on it?
