Can you help a 2nd trimester girl out?

I also posted this in the 2nd tri board...sorry but I am just a little concerend and was wondering if you ladies who are further along can help me out here...

At my last visit with my OB, which was my second part to my screening to check for any abnormalaties. Was pretty routine with blood work and urnine he said that my 20 week appt will consist of a Colposcopy (Colposcopy (Greek:  kolpos "hollow, womb, vagina" + skopos "look at") is a medical diagnostic procedure to examine an illuminated, magnified view of the cervix and the tissues of the vagina and vulva)

I have never even heard of it, didnt have it with my son (which is almost 5 years old)  but I assume its routine within the past few year but I dont really know.

 Has anyone had it or heard of it? Is it routine? Should i be concerned?
