Mucus plug...bloody show? First timer here and confused!

I thought I lost my plug a couple of weeks ago, there was a thick snot like substance in the toilet after I peed, it was just clear/white, and that happened twice over a 3 day period. 

 

Yesterday, I went to wipe (sorry TMI, I know) and holy mucus! It was pink tinged and brown and there was a lot! I cleaned up and went about my day. I ended up having to put a liner on because I continued to have a very light yellowish/ brownish/ mucus discharge. Last night, the same thing happened again, went to wipe and lots of mucus, this time it was just clear/brownish, but it happened twice more over night after that and once more today. Is this actually the plug? Is it normal for it to continue on like this??? I go to the doctor in the morning, but its driving me crazy now! 

 

I've been trying to research it more in depth but then they start talking about the bloody show and I don't quite understand the difference!!! Thanks in advance for any input!
