Friends don't seem to get it....

Does anyone else still have friends inviting them out for late-ish dates? As much as I'd love to get some good friend time in before LO comes, if it's not a lunch date, I'm kind of not interested. Even a dinner date seems daunting. I just want to be home, in my apartment, with DH, in bed by 9 or 10.

I know they aren't expecting me to drink or party with them, but even being out past a certain time feels like so much! I also feel so lame declining offers for birthday parties in the city that start at 9pm. I just can't do it anymore. I try inviting friends over during the day, as I'm more than happy to have guests and whip up some lunch, but they never seem to have the time. The idea of driving 30 min away, searching for parking in Manhattan, and spending $30 on a salad isn't in the cards right now.

Anyone else dealing with this?
