Are the cues that LO is full?

My LO is 11 week and is BF, he majority of the time, except two bottles during the day from the sitter. Lately he latches and eats really well on one side, and then when I switch him sides he goes a little crazy. He starts crying and kicking his feet. So I make sure he doesn't need to be burped again and try to get him to relatch but he won't. As soon as I lay him back on my chest he calms right down. So he ends up only eating on one side. He is happy and content and does fussy until his next feeding, 3 hrs later. So he is just telling me he is full?

And for those who just nurse on one side, how long does the LO stay latched?
