Found this article about the Alabama law I didn't know about. I'll admit, I didn't read through all 8 pages, but found it interesting & thought I'd share. 

"Chemical endangerment of a child. in the case of death, is a Class A felony in Alabama, carrying a mandatory sentence of 10 years to life."
