40 week u/s to check fluid levels?

I just left my 39 week appt and my dr said I'm not dilated at all and wants me to come back Mon for an ultrasound to check fluid levels and then Tuesday to talk about being induced. I was so disappointed, I didn't think to ask about why shes concerned about my fluid levels. Has anyone experienced this with an u/s so late in pregnancy? Thanks.
