Weird call from HR

So last week I ended up in the hospital because my baby girl had stopped all movement for more than 24 hours. Turns out the incident was stress-induced and my doctor took me off work until 6-8 weeks postpartum. Needless to say, now that I am stress-free she is the happy, bouncing active baby that I'm used to feeling.

 Today, though, I got a weird call from my the folks who handle the disability claims for my job and she was asking me questions like "What is your typical day like now?" and "Do you like your job?" I didn't think these were appropriate, but answered them VERY carefully because I wasn't sure what she was up to. 

 Are those questions legal to ask?!
