Dilation can regress?

April 2012 in 3rd Trimester

So I went to my 36 week appt last week w/my ob and she told me I was 1 1/2 cm dilated and baby was at -1 station. Today I have my 37 week appt, which a different doc as mine is away and she tells me I am not dilated at all and the baby is "definitely head down and getting into position." WTF?? When I inquired about the difference, she repeated what she had told me earlier-not dilated at all...

Did anyone else ever hear of "regressing dilation?" Talk about a buzz kill!!!!!!!
