I normally brag about DH but he really screwed today

I'm sick and exhausted woke up with a cold so I was trying to hide out today. Asked him to make dinner. 33 years old this man screwed up every aspect of dinner, asked me what to do at certain points and did the opposite. He goes to the store picks up all the wrong stuff cooks the wrong amount of pasta. Gets the wrong kind of sausage and even though the italian bread is buy one get one free he only picks up one just throwing money away. How is it at 33 with two bachelors degrees from a very good school he can't make pasta out of a box warm some jarred sauce and pick 2 items out of the freaking store correctly.
