how do you BF in public?

So the other day I went shopping and I was really glad there was a lounge in the bathroom because I was able to BF.  However, that was my first time (BFing in public) and I thought it was really hard.   I was sweating by the end of it.  

I usually use a boppy and didn't realize I would have to hold LO up to my boob so she could eat and my LO is getting heavy.   Hence the reason I was sweating.  I also didn't use my cover because that was the last thing on my mind (the room was very private though).

So what do you do if 1, there is no lounge and 2, how do you hold LO up for so long up to your boob.  Or am I just doing something wrong?
