combining milk from 2 different sessions

Please help. Can I combine milk from 2 different sessions? I just pumped 6 ounces but the bag I use can only hold 5 ounces. My plan is to put 5 ounces in 1 bag and the other ounce in a new bag and when I pump tonight, to combine the newly pumped milk and 1 ounce together. I know you can mix cold milk and cold milk together. But my question is...after I combine the new milk and the 1 ounce, can i THEN put it in the freezer? The 1 ounce will probably have been in the refrigerator for 5 hours already. TIA
