vitamin d recommendations

Our ped told us to get the vitamin d drops. Last time we used the enfamil and daughter had colic and reflux and I read in reviews that those drops bothered lots of kids. I noticed good reviews for baby d drops and carlson kids d3 drops. Anyone use these? Are the carlson kids meant for newborns or kids over a year?
