Help!!

Hi everyone! I just recently tried pumping and I can't seem to get enough milk to make it worth the time...but I would love to build up some extra milk! I tried pumping after DS eats, but I am oly getting half an ounce if I'm lucky. DS eats ever 1 1/2 - 3 hours during the day and he goes about 4-5 hours at night, so my question is when do I pump?? I'm afraid if I pump in the middle of the night I won't have enough if he wakes up early. Sorry if this is a naive question...I'm a newbie!
