colds during pregnancy

I know this has been discussed before but I'm sick and miserable and too lazy to do a search! How do you guys deal with colds? My midwife says I can't take any medicine at all, and I'm okay with that but how can I cope! I live in a f*ing 90 degree farenheit environment without a/c. Waaaaaahhhhhh I'm feeling really sorry for myself.
