LO fighting/decreasing nursing..

My Odie will be a week old tomorrow and so far he'd been eating 10-15 minutes per breast each feeding. I noticed that the times had been decreasing - like down to 9 or 7 minutes per breast. I had thought that his sucking was just getting more "active" and he was getting more of the hind milk - which could be.
...tonight at the 10:30pm feeding he fought for almost 45 minutes and then only did 6 and 4 minutes per breast.

Anyone else experience this? Is it normal? I hate to call the Pedi and sound like the worried FTM that I am. ...I am wondering if the lanolin is affecting him...
