NBR: Emroidery

This is really random but I've been thinking about it lately. I LOVE monogrammed and embroidered clothes, bags, etc. I have a niece and order her things all the time with her name or initials on it. And my son will be here in a few weeks and I already have ordered so much personalized gear for him.

Anyways, I've thought about purchasing a embroidery machine. I'd love to have one to make things for my son, friends and family. If I like it, I've thought about maybe starting an etsy account.

 So really, I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with them or any opinions? Any advice would be great. Thanks in advance!!!
