Breastfeeding necklace?

I have seen these online recently and I don't get what the purpose is. Most of the time they seem to be just a thick ring on a string, but I have seen others that are big beads.

Is it just to give the baby something to hold on to or play with while nursing, or is there something I am missing? Do you ladies use these? Is it worth getting one? I plan to BF in a few months so I'm just curious.
