Breastfeeding in the hospital

April 2012 in 3rd Trimester

I am a FTM and I was just wondering if while you are in the hospital, can you ask to pump after the baby is bprn instead of directly breastfeeding. I know it seems rediculous, but I know I am going to be swarmed by visitors, and I would just perfer to have the LO on a bottle right away, but I still want to use my breast milk. Are the nurses going to tell me no ? I am paranoid.
