Problems Latching-3 days old :(

Apparently I have "flat" or "slightly inverted" nipples (depending on which nurse was working at that moment) and am having issues getting DD to latch. They gave me a nipple shield the first night she was born and she takes it but sometimes she just refuses everything and I have yet to be able to get her off the shield.. I know I have no supply problem.....but I really just don't know what to do. She also has to be woken up to eat (she's really sleepy) which makes me feel even worse about the whole thing.  Ugh, I am just so anxious about all of this....advice?
