loosing mucus plug!

I am 39 weeks and I am due in 3 days! I went to the doctor yesterday and I was only at 1 cm she swept my membranes to try and start labor, I didnt feel any difference but I was sore so I went for a walk with my daughter. This morning I lost my mucus plug and now I am having inner thigh pain and when I walk it hurts but I am really not feeling any contractions. Anyone else ever felt this? Am I getting close? With my first child I lost my mucus plug and two days later she was here never had pain like this with her CONFUSED!!
