car seat question

DH and I were trying to install our graco car seat today. We have a base, the car has the latches. It all seems easy and straight forward. We read both the car and the seat's manual. However, it just doesn't seem as stable as I would expect. The problem is that if you pull up on the front of the seat, it'll raise up quite a bit. The bottom attached to the latch won't move, but you can angle the car seat way too much in my opinion. Is that how it's supposed to be? I've looked up videos on you tube but they don't pull up like we did. So I don't know if it's normal. Any thoughts or comments?
