Name Help

So we are having a hard time choosing a name we both love for our baby girl. Right now the only name we both really love is Avery. Here in lies the problem:

My cousin (slightly estranged) has a three year old daughter named Ava. Is this too close to her name. Does it appear as we are mimicking their choice? We didn't think about it until I started thinking of other nicknames that go along with Avery and Aves seemed close to Ava. We do not speak to this family, however, we do live in the same area and have mutual friends.
