Registering for car seats.. What are you getting?

Are you going to get the whole detachable car seat for stroller capability or a convertible car seat for each car that will last years? Personally I think I will just get two car seats one for hubby and one for my car and just try not to wake baby up as I get her out because I cant be carrying around a infant inside a heavy car seat in the 100 degree Texas weather! Thoughts? Advice? So far I am registered for the Britax Marathon 70 car seat & the Graco myride 65.
