pain after peeing?

I have pain after peeing almost like a period pain similar to a mild contraction? it doesnt burn or hurt while peeing. I am 40 weeks and a day. Does this sound similar to anyone else? is it the baby or a possible UTI? I have had a uti before and it seems different but it wasnt while pregnant so I dont know if that would make a difference? I am kinda nervous to call my doctor he has wanted to induce me since like 38 weeks because he wants to and when I ask him why the only reason he gives is that he would for sure be the one to deliver the baby and for me that is not a good enough reason. sooo I kinda dont want to call if I dont have to because I feel like any reason at all he will try to induce.
