Traveling?

So my husband and I decided to take a mini trip by car, about 3-4 hours away just for 2 nights, i will be 35 weeks at this point and my doctor's offices nurse prefers i don't go because thats a long drive in the middle of nowhere....have any of you taken trips that far along? and how likely am i to go into labor a month before my due date? My mom said she took the same trip @ 36 weeks and did not have issues....but who knows!!! I'm so confused!
