Am I being neurotic or would this occur to you too?

At this point our plan is to put the baby in our walk in closet. The closet is HUGE and will have more than enough space for baby without the baby being able to reach anything/being close enough for anything to fall on her. We talked about putting the baby in with my older son, but I'm worried about them waking each other up. We have a third bedroom that is currently used as a toy room (which I LOVE!), which is currently the other option. I just like the idea of the baby being so close, but still having the option of closing a door.

My crazy worry - if there's a fire, would a fire fighter check the closet? Obviously, we would hope that WE would get the baby out well before a firefighter needed to check anything at all. But in a worst case scenario, would the fact that we put her in the closet instead of a recognized bedroom be a death sentence for her? I'm kinda wondering if I should trying calling the nearest fire station, just to put my mind at ease. Am I being crazy here?
