Just not sure what to do...

I have my 37 week dr appointment this Friday and I am not sure of I am going to want her to check my cervix again. She checked me at my last appointment and I was 2 cm and 50% effaced, I have been having lots of pain and pressure these last two days so I am hoping I have made some progress but don't want to be disappointed if I haven't. The only reason I would consider it is because I live an hour and a half from the hospital so it would be nice to know where I am at. I guess I will just wait and see what she says, anyone have any advice at all?
