Jessica Simpson claims she has a lot of amniotic fluid?!?

Jessica Simpson was on Jimmy Kimmel and claimed that part of the reason she looks so big is that she has a lot of amniotic fluid. Is that even possible? This is my first pregnancy, so I don't know much, but I guess I assumed that your uterus has a capacity. And I don't think excessive amniotic fluid would make you large all over. I'm not judging her size-I have already had more than one person ask me if I'm expecting twins (I'm not) but is there really such a thing as too much amniotic fluid?
