Travel System Question

For any second time mom's out there did you buy/get a travel system? Did you use it all the time or could you have lived without it? A friend's parents gave us a stroller and car seat for free because they had been for their grandson but he had outgrown them. They aren't from the same company and don't fit together like a travel system. I'm just wondering if we should register for a travel system? We also registered for a moby wrap so we would use that while out and about as well. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!
