Hello! And name spelling question

Hi Ladies!

This is the first time I have posted on this board. I lurk ALL the time  but normally post on September board. I wanted to introduce myself and ask about a name spelling.....Now I know I am probably going to get a lot of crap for this but I have come to terms that it is not everyones style BUT I wanted to get some honest opinions on spelling. If my husband and I have a boy we are going to name him Saylor James. I knew a little boy and his name was Saylor and I fell in love with the name. He spelled it with a Y and so I just got used to that spelling. But now I am wondering if it would be better received if I spelled it Sailor. Which spelling do you think is better? Thank you in advance for going easy on the name. 

 I really like unusual names. Our girl name is Sawyer Elizabeth.
