Here, take all my baby stuff!

So a number of people, including my husbands co-workers that I have never met, are offering up their hand-me-downs to us. While I find this very kind and I'm much appreciative, what if I don't like their things?!

I don't want to see snobby, but I really do have particular tastes, but I don't want to offend anyone, either. I was joking about this to my mortgage broke (of all people, and yes we're trying to buy our first home while having our first baby) and he suggested I just take everything offered and keep what I want and donate what I don't want.

But what if my sister-in-law or my friend or whoever happens to be over and is wondering where that so-and-so they gave me is? Help!
