Swelling

I have swelling in my feet and ankles (just like everyone else by now) and am wondering at what point should I be concerned if I even should be? The only reason I ask is because I can't seem to get it to go down. It used to disappear overnight, but now it almost seems worse when I wake up in the morning. This is also when the swelling in my hands is the worst. It's primairly my left side and is starting to actually hurt. This sound normal or like something I should call about?
