high cervix

Soooo last Friday I thought my water broke. I went into the L&D and they tested me. Nope ( ughhh embarrassing ) . But she said I was having tons of nice contractions and that I was in early labour. She didn't say how much I was dialated but my cervix was nice and soft but high. I went for an ultra sound later that day and baby is ok ( but may I add he has THE biggest lips - guess it works out I'm African and DH is latino ) . I was wondering what a high cervix is when the say he is head down and really low. Does it mean anything at this point.
