DIY - Paint for Bassinette

My Dad saved the bassinette that they used when I was born. He is going to repaint it, replace the linens and cushion. My question is what type of paint should he use? I'm looking for something somewhat green, since peanut will be so up close and personal with it. Any suggestions, or what did you use?
