Borrowing Breast Pump?

I'm probably one of my last friends to have a baby, so I'm being offered a lot of items from friends who are done having kids, or their kids have already outgrown these items. One of my friends has offered to lend me her Medela breast pump when my baby arrives in August. She used it with her son who just turned 2 years old.  She explained that I would just need to purchase new tubing, breast shields and bottles to be on the safe side. I've done a little bit of research so far, and it seems like there's some recommendations to NOT share breast pumps, due to the fact that small bits of milk can get in the pump itself and different moms have different kinds of antibodies. What do you think? Should I accept this used pump, or go ahead and put a new breast pump on our registry?
