I've only posted a couple times on here, but I've been lurking pretty heavily lately, and I wanted to say hello.

I'm a young-ish single mom, never married, DD's dad and I are on very good terms. I literally thank God for that every day. No court involvement (thankfully) - we have an agreed-upon child support amount, and he lives across the country so he only sees DD once a month or so. He calls to talk to us, asks for pictures or updates on milestones...it's civil and uncomplicated, and going very well. We're on the same page as far as expectations and parenting, so for the time being, everything is working out.

I know it's still early in the game, and I understand that things can always turn ugly, but I'm still hoping.

I'm always surprised and impressed at the strength I find from you ladies on this board, and I really appreciate all the help and support offered. So hello! And thanks.
