Fiance has new job....

Fiance will be about 4 months into a new job, should I expect him to take time off after the baby is born? I am expecting to have a vaginal delivery but if I have a csection I'm worried I'll need extra help! My parents live close but I really would like him around. Also I don't want him to feel like he HAS to take time. Any suggestions?
