Being Monitored at Hospital

The doctor sent me to the hospital to monitor my contractions. I'm really hoping this is nothing but now I'm a little worried. I've been having braxton hicks all weekend and I had a few in the doc office today so she sent me over to be monitored. They are about to give me iv fluids to see if they will help or they will have to give me medicine to stop them. The nurse said the medicine makes u feel like your heart is racing -gives me a panic attack just thinking about it! Just looking for encouraging words if someone else has been through this, thanks!
