Are these kicks/movement?

I'm sure this has already been asked, but instead of rummaging through all the posts I figured I would just ask again.  This is my first pregnancy and I'm at 19w2d.  Every once in awhile I feel these sharp jabs or pulses just above my hips on the right side.  Sometimes it will be one and then none for a few days, then sometimes it will be 3 within a half hour or so.  Are these kicks?  I've also felt gas bubbles but I'm not sure it's gas since it's way lower than my stomach.  I'm assuming this is the baby moving also?  Being a first time mom I'm not sure how to distinguish what's what.  TIA!!  I'm anxious
