Is it okay for my baby's father to go away for two nights 3 weeks before my due date?

I have a dilema. The father of my baby, my fiance wants to go to a concert for two nights 3 weeks before my due date. Would I be a jerk by not wanting him to go? Am I over reacting? Is 3 weeks before my due date safe? I really want him to be there in case I go into labor and so does he. I'm a FTM.
