This sounds dumb--anyone else hear this?

So I saw my parents this weekend and my mom made a comment about how I hold my stomach a lot. I have always been wierd about this area as it is not my favorite to show off and now that I am preggers, sometimes it is just more comfortable to hold especially if he is sitting/sleeping low.

Then she told me to be careful, because my grandma warned her about that with my brother (half-brother; this is my stepmom) and him wanting to be held a lot after he was born.

This just sounded like one of those wives tales with nothing to support this. Anyone else hear or experience anything like this? It just sounds a little dumb to me, but I have heard dumber and wierder things before.
