Is this tacky?

Hi all,

My husband wants to email our friends and family and have them "sign up" on a google calendar to visit us once our baby is born.  He also wants to ask them to bring us lunch or dinner when they come.  I personally think that this is a bit presumptuous and... tacky?  What do you think??

Also, I'm not even sure if I'll be up for visitors right after the birth... I know that he really wants to maintain ties with his friends, esp the ones with no babies, but I really don't know if I'll be up for having people come over like every few days?? 

 What do you all think?
