for those who have already had babies and experienced contractions...

I have a question about what contractions feel like....aside from pain/pressure/etc, I am curious to know whether they feel more like a pulsating feeling, or are they a constant? 

For example, do they feel more like if you were to squeeze your arm and let go, then sqeeze again and let go, and continueing like that for a minute or so 

OR do they feel like if you were to sqeeze your arm and not let go at all for a  minute or so.  

 

Does this make sense?  thanks ladies!
