exposure to whooping cough at school

one of DSs classmates tested positive for pertussis (whooping cough) yesterday.  after being sick for 2 months. 

he had a slight cold a few weeks ago that lasted about a week.  just a runny/stuffy nose, no coughing really, no fever.  

do I need to do anything? call his pedi? he has all his vaccines, but so did this little girl.  

ugh.
