blood after sex? TMI

so DH and I were getting it on yesterday ( I needed some). After I came we switched positions when i noticed a scant amt of blood on his penis. Of course i jump up and rush to the bathroom and wipe away bright red blood. Not a significant amt but i think any amt is enough to worry about. Called the emergency nurse and she said this was actually fairly normal during pregnancy, but to call back in case the amt has increased. So i think i went through a whole roll of TP wiping every ten minutes to check for more blood. There was a little bloody discharge but no more bright red blood. During first tri we were having sex all the time, its slowed down a bit because certain positions are now uncomfortable, but now im worried I wont want to do it at all!! Anyone else experienced this?
